Liam C
Liam C is a one-of-a-kind singer-songwriter whose determination and self-belief have propelled him from sleeping in hostels to achieving viral moments with global superstars. Born and raised in Colchester, Liam experienced a turbulent childhood after his parents separated when he was young. He and his younger sister moved frequently before eventually settling in Shrewsbury with their mother. It was his grandmother who ignited his passion for music, exposing him to an eclectic mix of styles, from Jilted John to classic folk, which would later shape his genre-blurring sound.
After enduring schoolyard bullying and a restless adolescence, Liam risked everything on a one-way ticket to London with only a ukulele, a handful of original songs and the last of his savings. Homeless, he turned to busking on street corners and outside pubs, winning over passersby with his all-or-nothing approach. He built a loyal Instagram following and managed to secure a meeting with Ed Sheeran at a Soho video shoot. Their impromptu 30-minute exchange of advice and song-swapping helped affirm Liam’s mission.
Industry doors soon began to open. South London hip-hop collective The Manor took him under their wing, leading to an introduction to production legends Future Cut. Together, they crafted mini vignettes that highlight Liam’s working-class spirit and emotive songwriting. His growing profile led to viral moments with Stormzy, Central Cee, Will Smith and Rita Ora.
At Glastonbury 2025, Liam launched his DOLLA DOLLA promotional trail, a moment that firmly cemented his status. TikTok featured his festival clips in its newsletter alongside Olivia Rodrigo and Charli XCX, with one performance video surpassing four million views.
Liam C’s journey, from backstreet busker to viral phenomenon, is a testament to relentless hustle, unshakable self-belief and raw authenticity. With no industry connections, he has done everything the hard way, rewriting the rules as he goes. Following DOLLA DOLLA and BANG BANG came TINA, his biggest track to date, and with live shows rolling into 2026, Liam C is here to stay.
